About Us 

We are Yameo – a Polish-Dutch tech company based in Gdańsk. For over 19 years, we have been developing innovative products, and our flagship solution is Video in Person – a remote customer service platform used by over 15 banks and numerous certification and insurance institutions worldwide. Our product runs on both web applications (mobile & desktop) and video terminals equipped with advanced features like NFC for user authentication and a signpad for digital signatures. 

We are not just another software house. We offer long-term work on the development of our own product, which is self-financed, ensuring stability and independence from external funding rounds. Video in Person is deployed to key clients across five continents, and now we are looking for a Tech Lead to take ownership of its development and maintain top-notch technological standards. 

Who Are We Looking For? 

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to drive the technological growth of Video in Person. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java, extensive experience in deployments and system integrations, and a track record of leading product development from A to Z. 

Your Responsibilities: 

• Ensure the highest technological standards for our product. 

• Manage deployments in client environments (e.g., banks), including planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement. 

• Support sales in RFP processes – present technical solutions, justify architectural decisions, and provide product documentation (e.g., security compliance). 

• Oversee technology upgrades – prioritize, test new libraries, and respond to vulnerabilities. 

• Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients (in Polish and English). 

• Conduct 1:1 meetings and performance reviews with team members. 

• Ensure sprint efficiency and on-time project deliveries. 

Our Tech Stack: 

• Backend: Java 17, Spring Boot 3, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Redis, microservices architecture 

• Frontend: Angular 16 (or any other frontend technology) 

• DevOps: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, ELK, Datadog 

• Tools: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Jenkins, Docker 

Who Will You Work With? 

Our Video in Person team consists of: 

We work in two-week sprints with daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives. The team is also supported by DevOps specialists, and our developers not only build new features but also assist with support operations. 

What We Expect: 

• 7+ years of experience in Java and the Spring ecosystem 

• Hands-on experience with system integrations and software deployments 

• Ability to lead product development from start to finish 

• Understanding of DevOps processes for independent deployments in client environments (with admin support if needed) 

• Strong technical communication skills – internally and with clients 

• Fluency in Polish and English (both spoken and written) 

• Experience in sales support, presenting technical solutions, and handling security documentation
